The airborne high-precision surveying and mapping LiDAR Zenmuse L2 integrates a frame-style LiDAR, a high-precision self-developed positioning system, and a 4/3 CMOS visible light surveying and mapping camera, providing DJI flight platforms with more accurate, efficient, and reliable 3D data acquisition capabilities. Coupled with DJI Terra, it can build an integrated solution for 3D data acquisition and high-precision post-processing.
LiDAR Module
Range increased by 30%, L2 range reaches 250 meters (reflectivity 10%, 100 klx) and 450 meters (reflectivity 50%, 0 klx), with a typical operational flight altitude of up to 150 meters, further enhancing operational safety and efficiency.
Smaller laser spot and more concentrated energy, spot size is 4x12 cm @100 meters, only 1/5 of L1, which not only allows the identification of smaller targets and acquisition of more detailed models, but also penetrates denser vegetation to generate more accurate digital elevation information. Supports up to 5 returns, allowing L2 to capture richer under-canopy ground points in densely vegetated areas.
In both single-return and multi-return modes, L2's maximum point cloud emission rate can reach 240,000 points/second, capturing more point cloud data in a given time.
L2 supports two scanning modes, allowing operators to flexibly choose based on operational requirements. In repetitive scanning mode, LiDAR can perform more uniform and higher-precision scanning, meeting high-precision mapping needs. In non-repetitive scanning mode, it has stronger penetration, capturing more structural information, suitable for scenarios like power inspection and forestry surveys.
Framed design allows an effective point cloud data rate of up to 100%, and combined with a three-axis stabilized gimbal, it brings more possibilities to mapping scenarios.
High-precision self-developed pose system
After powering on, the IMU does not require preheating, and the UAV can take off and operate as long as the RTK is in FIX status, providing a better field experience.
Surveying Camera
4/3 CMOS, mechanical shutter, pixel size increased to 3.3um, effective pixels up to 20 million, overall imaging quality is better, and point cloud coloring details are richer. The minimum photo interval is reduced to 0.7 seconds, and a mechanical shutter is supported, with a shutter life of up to 200,000 times, further reducing operation costs. When point clouds do not need to be collected, the visible light camera can not only take photos and record videos, but also capture images for visible light mapping.
